Hamsadhwani was launched on 18 August 1990 to cater to music lovers living in the Adyar area of Chennai. R. Ramachandran, a founder-member who christened it Hamsadhwani. Hamsadhwani feels it has done exceedingly well in fulfilling it’s objective of promoting classical music.

Hamsadhwani is an association based in Indiranagar, Adyar in Chennai for encouraging the spreading of Music, Dance, Drama and other forms of Performing Arts. This group is for members of Hamsadhwani, NRI members, all Artists and performers, & other lovers of Music, Dance, Drama & other Performing Arts, who wish to interact between themselves.
