The award was presented by N Gopalaswami, Former CEC and was received by J. Sampath Kumar , Manager Youth Hostel and R. Sundar, Secretary, Hamsadhwani .
Nov’22 On 20 th Nov Hamsadhwani & Narada Gana Sabha, jointly with Heartfulness, Temple of Music and Bowing with Fiddling Monk presented a grand event to felicitate Ganesh & Kumaresh on their 50 years of Golden Music on stage as performing artistes with musical events and special felicitations at Narada Gana Sabha.

Srekala Bharat & Thejas presented a thematic dance feature VEERAM VILAYNDHA BHOOMI –A tribute to freedom fighters of Tamizh Nadu on the inaugural evening .

On 25 th Dec Celebrating KASI TAMIZH Sangamam V.Balagurunathan & Krishnanjali presented PARAM – a thematic feature depicting the five Thandavas of Lord Shiva. The festival featured NRI artistes from USA, Canada, UK, Norway, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore with 25 programmes on 14 evenings.

31st Anniversary Series :August’21 : Hamsadhwani, in association with Sri Krishna Sweets celebrated its 31st Anniversary and India’s 75th Year of Independence with a series of fresh programs recorded live for its members and well-wishers.The artistes who participated are Gayathri Venkatraghavan, Sunil Gargyan, Ramakrishnan Murthy and Namasankeerthanam by Mohanam Academy of Music. Eminent speakers IsaikaviRamanan, MarabinMaindhanMuthiah, Tiruppur Krishnan and Bharathi Thirumagan spoke with patriotic pride about our country and the heritage. 18th August Hamsadhwani’s 30 thAnniversary was celebrated jointly with Sri Krishna Sweets in the digital platform. Considering the pandemic situation and guidelines for public gatherings, the celebrations were presented in the Youtube. Hamsadhwani dedicated the Anniversary celebrations to the front line team of doctors, para medical staff, the Police, Sanitation dept employees, Corporation of Chennai, various Government agencies/departments, social organisations who were working tirelessly to tackle the Covid 19 pandemic. Apart from messages by eminent personalities – Shri M.S.Swaminathan, Shri K.Parasaran, Shri K.Harishankar we featured a melody treat for the occasion by SangitaKalanidhiSudhaRagunathan, SangitaKalanidhiS.Sowmya, Lalgudi Krishnan & LalgudiVijayalakshmi (violin duet), JayanthiKumaresh (Veena), GayathriVenkatraghavan, SikkilGurucharan and Ramakrishnan Murthy. Hamsadhwani played an active role in coordinating and conducting the first online festival of Music, dance, drama, Namasankeerthanam, Harikatha and Lecdems .The virtual festival was inaugurated by Shri M.VenkaiahNaiduji, Honourable Vice President of India who lauded the efforts and spirit of cuiltural organisations to brave the pandemic and bring together a big line- up of artistes and reach out to national and international audience. The festival with over 120+ programmes was a huge success. Access to this edition was given to members to watch and listen to the concerts from their homes.

Announcement by Hamsadhwani in the wake of Covid 19
Hamsadhwani is conducting its 30 th Annual Music , Dance and Drama Festival since January and is spread over 4 months till April with Programmes in all week ends I.e Fridays , Sat and Sundays ! In the current situation as a preventive measure Hamsadhwani has postponed all the remaining events for March and 1 st week of April.Further decision will be taken after making an assessment of the situation. Hamsadhwani feels that the majority of Rasikas attending concerts are senior citizens and it was necessary that they are not exposed to the contagious viral disease. We have to ensure the artistes are also not exposed to any health hazard The artistes too have appreciated our stance and we are sure these steps can discourage public gatherings! We must cooperate with the Government to create awareness and adhere to the Dos and Don’t. Let us pray for peace, safety and good health.
